Fourth Week's Prizes Drawn

The Simcoe Day holiday delayed this a little, but check your email--we've drawn the prize winners for the July 27 - August 2 period and sent emails to the winners.

Full details on prizes here.

Congratulations to the winners!  If you didn't win a prize--there's another four weeks of prize drawings to go!

Comments

Yay! First of comment! Congrats to the winners! Best of luck to the rest!

Congats to the winners!!!
(whoever the mystery ppl are...)

Congrats and keep on commenting! Hey, does anyone know where to go or write if u know what the secret book title is??

And another question: Does anyone know how many people joined Word Out just curious i'm also full of questions :)

Congratz to the winners!!
(i know who one of them is! ;D...but no, it's not me)

Hamdi: I do, since I manage the web presence. Obviously we can't disclose any personally identifying statistics, but what we can say publicly...

As of today (August 4) we've had somewhere in the range of 1500 signups via the online registration.
So about the same # as the # of students in a big high school (at least, a big high school when I was in high school, which was some time ago...)

The other big # is # of comments--we're approaching 2000 comments now. To satisfy my own curiousity I exported them all and pasted them into Word, and discovered they make a 202 page document in total. So give yourselves a hand, you've collectively written about a novel's worth of comments, recommendations, book reviews, etc. :)

Congratulations to all winners! Keep reading everyone!

Awe so sad.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats
Just Curious: Where can the giftcards be used (what store/company are they for)

Wow! So many signups...Word Out is getting better and better!!!
Congratulations to all the winners!! And good luck for those who didn't...I'm sure you'll soon be picked!

I am also curious about the same thing Nare is curious about: are the giftcards only for like bookstores? What store can the giftcards be used??? :)

Well Once again for thos who won congratulations you deserved it no matter what. but for those who didn't let's jsut keep tyring there are still 4 weeks to go

OMG is that number real. I'm acutally a little surprised that the wordout became so huge. but also not the surprised i'm happy for them

And hopefully with this huge awesome turnout there will be a wordout next year. 'cause i'm really starting to love this program

Nara/Tashnuva: The gift cards are for a variety of stores. I don't have the complete list at hand (I do the prize draws and contact the winners, but don't actually handle sending out the prizes).

Congrats everyone for winning a prize you guys worked hard and it payed off. Sadly though i didn't win again we gotta keep trying there are still a few more weeks left so yay

Mary: We'll definitely be back last year. It may not be exactly the same, but hopefully whatever's different will be better. :)

Closer to the end of the summer we'll have a thread to get feedback from teens about what they think next year's Word Out should look like.

Alan, i really think this year's wordout looks really coool!!! the background suits both guys and girls.... i have no complains. ;)

by the wayz, is this wordout's first year?

Congrats to the winners!

Tasfia: This is the second year, though last year was quite different. We have more emphasis on the web presence this year.
