Man i would hate to be that kid in devils breath. I really like this authors books becuase he always brings the characters to life and you could almost imagin being there in the story right beside the character as events unfold. very great book to read indeed

Mary: there's some manga influence in the work of a number of the creators involved in "Flight". A lot of younger Western comic artists have grown up reading manga as well, and there's quite a few with stylistic blends.
I believe "Zot" by Scott McCloud (which is on the reading list later in the summer) was one of the first North American comics to have a strong influence from manga when it was published in the mid-80s.

THe little black book for guys seems like something that seems intersting fro thsoe who wanna know more about how the brain of a marle works I guess. I'll try reading it and then maybe recommend it to my brother. The title seems like it is some kinda of mysterious sci-fi book so after readign the title I skipped it, but when I read the description I was like whoa. I guess this is why they say don't judge a book by its cover or in this case it's title.

I just found the little black book at the library today and I was like why not and signed it out. I'm sure it's going to be an interesting perspective to read it from...
I'm not a big fan of most graphic novels but this one seems interesting as well.. I'm putting a hold on this one.

Didn't Kazu Kibuishi write another graphic novel, more specifically a manga series?

Haha... girls are going to look awkward with a guy's book in their hands.

I'm currently reading The Devil's Breath & i find it to be a really good book. It's intense & kind of rushed but I think it's awesome. If you're into the spy, assasin or my-dad-is-missing thing, then you'll love this book for sure! ;P
