Her Worst Fears By Mik Tampold

October 22, 2012 | Yvcanthology | Comments (0)

A man came to my door today

At first, his intention was unknown

But I wanted to get away from him before it could be shown

His hair was singed and smoking, blackened at the tips

His smile could’ve been contagious

If it weren’t for the sinister curvature of his lips

His tuxedo was the farthest it could’ve been from plain

And his skin must’ve been as white as cocaine

His bouquet was of black roses, their smell all-consuming

He grabbed me by the hand while I looked upon those flowers blooming

“You’re such a pretty thing, my dear, with your face as white as a sheet,”

“Come with me, and your afterlife will be complete.”

To me the clouds are angels

Their mantles white and gray

The forms of hawks and dragons

Dance about in play

The sky was to me a celestial sea

Awash in winged creations.

These visions here are all set free

By our imaginations.

I am from the tenderness blurry shine

Of starfruit in moisture air

I am tided to the flooding waves around 3 Gorges mingling with the everlasting Yellow River

I was born in the death of a star, sparkling across millions of light years; set through the Cosmo by a hope

I am from the borders between moon and the Earth; the sunshine across the rain. Bridge of rainbow to Heaven

Giving Thanks | Gabriela Aguilera

The act of giving thanks

A day set apart for giving thanks to God

The time to think back and reflect on what you’re thankful for

Being thankful to love to see today

To be in good health

To have a roof over your head

To have rights

Being thankful to be given life to live

That there is a God that loves us

That there’s the right to be free whatsoever

Thankful that we have the right and privilege to change the world

The right to serve and worship our Almighty God

Being thankful that love makes the world go round

Being thankful to eat good everyday

I’m thankful for being thankful

Thankful to even have the right to be thankful

Thankful to have written this poem thankfully

Be thankful. Never take it for granted.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Your entire life you’ve told me

Of how you’re here

And came to be

You’ve been my greatest friend

And will be to the end

Your beauty is grand

Inside and out

I love how you smile

I love when you pout

But you love him

And he loves you

That I know

To be true

As long as you’re happy

That’s all I wish

And I will wait

For the day love can flourish
