Last Tuesday, teens at Jane/Dundas were given a sneak peek into the mind of an award winning author as Marina Cohen stopped by the branch. The event allowed aspiring writers to better understand the overall writing process, particularly key areas such as character development, idea generation and the exciting, yet occasionally scary world of book publishing.

Ghost rideThe event was enjoyed by all and concluded with an entertaining writing activity and book prize draw where teens were thrilled to have Marina sign copies of Ghost Ride and Mind Gap.

Marina left teens inspired as she talked about how the three factors of talent, determination and luck can intermingle to allow young dedicated writers to one day become the next Stephanie Meyer or Suzanne Collins!
