Hello people of the internet, this week we are announcing our short story contest. 

This is one of the big ones for all of you writers out there. 

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write us the absolute best short story ever composed by a resident of the City of Toronto. 

 

We are looking for the most original, creative and mind-blowing piece of short fiction ever written north of Buffalo.

1. Get online at tpl.ca/wordout frequently

2. Watch for our announcement that the first collector card is available in branches, sometime around the end of June

3. Drop by your local library branch at least once a week all summer to pick up new collector cards

4. Put the cards together to get the full picture

5. Create something based on the picture -- a story, a poem, a song, a sculpture... whatever you want to create -- and post it here on the WORD OUT website for a chance to win that iPad mini.
