Collect the Cards! Do some Art! Win an iPad Mini!

Are you a creative type that likes to write? Draw? Sing? Then we've got a summer-long contest for you!
Every time you stop by a Toronto Public Library branch this summer, ask the staff there for a Word Out collector card. The pictures on these cards can be put together to make a picture (kind of like a jigsaw puzzle). You can see one of the cards to the right - just a teaser! ---->
Use the picture the cards create as inspiration for a piece of art (be it a poem or a short story or a song) and submit your entry below for a chance to win an iPad mini, and have your creation published in the 2014 Word Out anthology.
There are nine cards to collect, so make sure you stop by your local library a bunch during the summer to get them all!
There aren't a lot of rules:
- In order to qualify to win this contest, you have to live in the city of Toronto.
- You have to provide a valid email address - otherwise we can't contact you to let you know you've won the contest! We promise to keep your email confidential - for more information about this, see the privacy statement below.
- You have to have submitted your entry by Monday August 25th at 11:59 PM
Other than that, its up to you! Good luck everyone. We can't wait to see what you're inspired to create.
Boring legal stuff:
Your name, your e-mail address, the books you read and your thoughts about them are your personal information. Why do we need your personal information here? Well, we want to publish your reviews, and we need your name and e-mail address to help administer the contest. The Public Libraries Act is the law that lets us do this. We'll be protecting your privacy every step of the way, but if you have any questions about how we're going to do that, you can contact TPL's Privacy & Records Management Officer, 789 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4W 2G8, 416-395-5658 or by e-mail at [email protected]
