Have you ever wanted to work for the City of Toronto? Now is the time to make your dream come true! Come meet with city divisional representatives and more at the annual City of Toronto Career Information Event at Toronto Reference Library on Thursday, October 18, 10 am-3 pm. Join us to explore the range of careers available, learn about the hiring process and ask your employment-related questions.
The main event will be located in the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon on the second floor of Toronto Reference Library. Information sessions about how to apply for City jobs will take place throughout the day in the Elizabeth Beeton Auditorium on the first floor of Toronto Reference Library. Sessions will run at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

Victoria Alleyne, Toronto Reference Library's Entrepreneur in Residence, will be attending this event from 1 pm to 3 pm. Come to her table to chat about jobs and entrepreneurship!
While at Toronto Reference Library, don't forget to visit the Business, Science & Technology Department on the third floor to check out our Career Collection. All books with a green dot on their spine can be taken home for 3 weeks. The Career Collection consists of books on:
- writing a cover letter
- writing a resume
- preparing for an interview
- marketing yourself to employers
- how to find a job
- using your education and training to get a job
- how to upgrade your skills
- how to find success at your new job
- and so much more!
