WallenbergphotoRaoul Wallenberg Exhibit: Opening Event

Mon Jan 14, 2013

7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Toronto Reference Library Atrium

"To me there's no other choice." - Raoul Wallenberg, 1912-2012

This special exhibition will be at the Toronto Reference Library, Beeton Auditorium, from January 12 to January 23, 2013. This exhibit highlights the man, his acts, and the survivors who benefited.

In addition to the opening, join us for Perspective on Wallenberg : A Panel Discussion on Tuesday, January 15th at 7pm in the Appel Salon.

Armed with only his bravery and moral courage, Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish national who saved tens of thousands of Jews from the Holocaust during WWII.

Wallenberg's example raises issues about moral courage and individual responsibility. This is about how one person can make a difference.

The Toronto Reference Library has a multilingual collection of books, brochures, films and more on Raoul Wallenberg and events surrounding World War II. Don't miss the display near the Beeton Auditorium. Here's a sampling:

Wallenberg, 1st Edition

Wallenberg : lost hero

The righteous : the unsung heroes of the Holocaust

Righteous gentile : the story of Raoul Wallenberg, missing hero of the Holocaust
