Toronto hardcore punk stars, Cancer Bats, are big. Featured in Make Some Noise's September Recommended Recordings, their new album - Dead Set on Living -  is worth it.

From Make Some Noise, "Toronto's Cancer Bats are a special treat for those into hardcore/aggressive rock. Now on their fourth studio album, they've quickly become one of the better known acts in the Toronto scene, even being featured in a short film by TO director Bruce McDonald. (!!!) A special bonus for fans, Dead Set on Living contains a second record featuring the Bats' alter egos, Bat Sabbath, playing some classic Ozzy covers."  Here's their CBC profile to hear their work.

This video from the new album shows their ability to make hardcore punk - well, melodic and catchy - and their sense of humour.

Grab your sou'wester and hang on tight.
