A Sneak Preview of Science Rendezvous
Those who made it through the front section of yesterday’s Globe and Mail would have seen an article about women in science and a new organization called Pueblo Science. If you were intrigued, you will be able to see Pueblo Science in action as they present Science Rendezvous programs at four Toronto Public Library branches on May 11.
With expertise in chemistry, physics, engineering and biology, the
Pueblo Science team in Toronto works to increase science literacy in under-served communities in Canada. They have also taken their inexpensive, reproducible and interactive
science discovery kits to the Philippines where they are used to help train science teachers.
Feel like making some crystals? Or fuel in test tube? Pueblo Science has a great Kidzone section on their website with recipes for all kinds of nifty experiments—check it out! Meanwhile, you can also check out Pueblo Science's hands-on programs at Science Rendezvous at Toronto Public Library on May 11.
