What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon than experiencing Shakespeare at its finest. With over 38 plays and 154 sonnets to his name, Shakespeare is considered one of the most prominent writers of all time. His plays are studied in schools and have been created into blockbuster performances around the world.

Shake-Spur Moments takes place at Maria Shchuka from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is your chance to be a part of the action and dive into Shakespeare. A troupe of 8 actors will be moving throughout the library, engaging audiences with scenes, monologues and choral pieces from the works of William Shakespeare. The initiative is led by a group of youth artists—Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective—with a goal to make Shakespeare easier to understand and more accessible through performing his works spontaneously in modern spaces, drawing the humanity of each story into a current context.
