The  upcoming three-part Planning for the Future with Aging Parents program series at North York Central Library, which was created in collaboration with Circle of Care,  is designed to help people prepare themselves (or their parents) for their senior years.

The three sessions are:

Personal Finance
Tuesday, October 11th
7 p.m. - 8 p.m., Room 2/3

A personal financial planning workshop presented by Larry Berdugo, a chartered consultant, of WealthMore Financial Strategies.  The workshop will help you make your finances last, avoid painful retirement mistakes, maximize retirement income & more.


Legal Planning
Tuesday, October 18th
7 p.m.- 8 p.m., Room 2/3

A legal workshop presented by Judith Wahl, a distinguished professor and Executive Director of the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly.  The workshop will cover issues on Consent to Treatment, Power of Attorneys, Substitute Decision Making, Public Guardian and Trustee.


Community Support Services
Tuesday, October 25th
7 p.m. - 8 p.m., Auditorium

A social worker from Circle of Care will present a workshop on understanding  community support services available in Toronto to help seniors live independently in their own homes.  The workshop will make you aware of services for the elderly like transportation, day programs, meals on wheels, homemaking and family caregiver supports.
