Book A Librarian: Free, Personalized Service
Researching a topic? Having trouble tracking down information? Want to brush up on your library and research skills for the next school year?
North York Central Library offers one on one, personalized Book a Librarian Sessions. In these sessions you meet for up to 1 hr with a librarian to help with your individual research needs. Not just for high shcool and university students, this service is avaialble for all ages and is completely free.
Sessions are tailored to your specific requests and often include library catalogue and electronic database searching, exploring resources available from home or in branch, as well as, examining our print collections.
Some examples of session topics include:
- Learn how to search for a job
- Discover something good to read in English or in your own language
- Learn how to research a topic
- Find citizenship information
- Find community information e.g. housing, child care, etc.
