This October, Toronto Public Library (TPL) and the settlement agencies celebrate 15 years of Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP). LSP expands TPL’s newcomer services by offering settlement support with multilingual workers from 7 local settlement agencies at 14 library locations. LSP is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

All LSP locations now offer in-person one-on-one information and referral. Please make an appointment with a settlement worker.

LSP Week 2022 celebration

On October 18, 2022, join in the LSP Week celebration! LSP Week is an annual celebration of this helpful program. This year, LSP Week will be celebrated online, and the special event is scheduled to overlap with Ontario Public Library Week (October 16-22, 2022). All are welcome to participate.

Each year, LSP Week has a theme. This year’s theme, “Health and Well-Being,” encourages us to look after ourselves more and to support loved ones and friends. The pandemic has put us through many changes and it is important to take care of ourselves. TPL offers recommended reads focusing on mental health through discovery and healing with the hope to highlight that we are all on this journey together. Be sure to check out recommended titles and services by Toronto Public Health on our Your Health Matters information page.
