Lizzy and the Cloud by the Fan Brothers
In this latest surreal tale from the Fan brothers, Lizzie visits the cloud seller and instead of buying a spectacular cloud in the form of a bird or an octopus, she goes for an ordinary cloud whom she names Milo. She takes him everywhere and soon he gets bigger.
A Spoonful of Frogs by Casey Lyall, illustrated by Vera Brosgol
An influential witch has a syndicated cooking show and will show us how to make frog soup, but the unobliging frogs steal the show.
Time Capsule by Lauren Redniss
A great conversation starter! A girl decides to create a time capsule and fills it with various things from her life, both tangible and intangible. Simply told in a matter-of-fact narrative, it is deceptively engaging and prompts an appreciation for the fantastic.
