The TD Summer Reading Club presents the Battle of the Books

The TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC) has launched for another summer! Families can visit a Toronto Public Library branch to pick up their free reading kit, which will help motivate kids to read all summer long. Learn more at tpl.ca/readingclub.

Kids can also participate online on our Club website. The website features many fun reading-related activities, including the return of the popular Battle of the Books!

The Battle of the Books is an 8-book tournament where two books compete for kids' votes each week. At the end of the summer, one book will be crowned as the champion. Here's the full 2022 tournament bracket:

All of the books in the tournament are available as ebooks on the Club website, so kids can read the books and then vote for their favourite. The Battle of the Books features these eight books by Canadian authors:
