Read-Alongs

Do you have a kid who’s learning to read?  Or one who can't read yet, but loves to hear a good story? We have a fun new format for them to try: All-in-One Read-Alongs.

All-in-one Read-Alongs are picture books with a built-in audio player, so kids can listen to the story as they read. They include speakers and a headphone jack, with audio controls attached to the inside cover of the book. You don’t need any special equipment or WiFi to use them – even headphones are optional.

Because their built-in battery lasts for over 100 plays, you’ll probably never need to charge the audio player – but All-in-One Read-Alongs come with a built-in micro USB port, so you can charge them at home if you need to.

We’re introducing 20 All-in-One Read-Along titles at each of 50 library branches. (UPDATE: As of November, 2019, All-in-One Readalongs are available at all 100 library branches!) You’ll also be able to place them on hold so you can borrow them from any location you like. The borrowing rules are the same as for any other children’s book.

Here are a few of the titles available in All-in-One Read-Along format or you can browse the whole collection:
