The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest reading Club for kids of all ages, interests, and abilities.

In Toronto, the Club officially starts on Saturday June 22, 2019. Starting on this day and throughout the summer, kids can go into any one of our branches and pick up their free reading kit, which includes a notebook and unique web access code. After reading or listening to a book, kids report to library staff and collect stickers to place in their notebooks — there are 12 stickers to collect!

The Club Website

In addition to reporting to staff about books they've read, kids can also participate on our TD Summer Reading Club website. Our website has a wide variety of fun reading-related activities for kids to try out — jokes, silly stories, story starters, and trivia — along with an original web comic by Jo Rioux and a great selection of new ebooks, available at all times on demand (no waiting lists).

A Club for All Interests and Abilities

The TD Summer Reading Club is designed with flexibility in mind. It is meant to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way. We provide a list of recommended reads on our website, but kids are free to read anything they choose outside of our recommendations.

The Club is accessible and open to all kids. If you have a child that has trouble reading print because of a physical, visual or learning disability, we have materials that may help. Check out our section on Accessibility for more information.

We hope to see you soon at your local library!
