SunSummer is now in full swing! What did summer break mean for you when you were little? Was it the exhilaration of meeting up with friends? Was it the freedom of being out of school? How about discovering something new or letting your imagination take you to fantastical places?

The great news is that you can keep your child learning and having fun all summer long by participating in a full suite of programs and activities at your local library branch.

What is going on where?

We know that summer can be a chaotic time. It can be challenging to keep track of what is going on where. Our two-step method is guaranteed to get things sorted out for you in absolutely no time at all:

1) What is my closest library branch?

2) What is going on for kids & families at my library branch?

CheckCost

From art workshops to the high-tech and everything in-between, our expert-led programs and activities are absolutely free. Although a majority of our programs are drop-in, keep an eye out for programs that require registration and get your child’s name on a list before it is too late!

For Children of all Ages and Abilities

We strive to make our spaces and programs as inclusive as possible. Feel free to reach out to staff at your local library at any time if you have any questions, concerns or specific suggestions.

Say Hello

As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child! Programs and activities at your library branch are a terrific opportunity to meet like-minded families and introduce your child to kids outside their cohort at school. These connections can build a sense of community and support your child as they grow.

Look what I can do!

Every single master artist, renowned scientist and maker started as a beginner.  Exposing your child to a wide variety of different programs and hobbies can spark an interest that blossoms into a lifelong passion. From crafts to coding, there is something for everyone at your library branch.

Make it a play date

Fun is meant to be had together! Encourage cousins, friends and neighbours to attend programs together to add an extra layer of excitement to your library visit. If you have not already, we encourage you to grab a reading budding, join the TD Summer Reading Club and have fun all summer long!

See you all at the library soon!
