Canada’s Authors’ Week What does it mean? It means that during the week of Nov. 19 to 26 throughout the length and breadth of Canada, an educational campaign dealing with Canadian literature will be conducted. Why? Because Canadian literature has become a power in the world to-day and strange, but true, Canadian literature is better known in foreign markets than her own. Educationists have at last awakened to this fact, that Canada has something to exploit in her literature and she must begin at home. This campaign will be conducted through various channels, book stores, libraries, pulpits, Canadian Clubs and schools. Canadian literature will have first place in this store next week, and the public will be gladly welcome to come and get acquainted with the work of Canadian authors. Distinguished visitors During the week three of our distinguished and very popular Canadian authors will be present at our store, 16 King street west, to meet Hamilton people, and will be glad to autograph any of their books at that time.
