2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize Longlist Announced
The longlist for this year's Scotiabank Giller Prize was announced on September 8. The annual literary award has traditionally celebrated Canadian fiction and short story collections. For the first time in 2020, however, graphic novels are also eligible.
Clyde Fans by Seth is the first graphic novel to be nominated. The other nominees include 10 novels and 3 books of short stories by David Bergen, Kaie Kellough and Souvankham Thammavongsa. Three debut authors – Eva Crocker, Francesca Ekwuyasi and Michelle Good – have been selected for this year's longlist as well.

The shortlist will be announced on October 5 and the winner will be revealed on November 9.
