I love spotting trends in book titles. In the past few years, the word "party" was everywhere. You might think I have a very active social life from my 2019 reading list which included these books:

The party by elizabeth day

The Party by Elizabeth Day

Party by robyn harding

The Party by Robyn Harding

Guilty party

The Guilty Party by Mel McGrath (I realize this isn't a reference to a social event but it fits the blog theme so let's just overlook that.)

Hunting party 2

The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley

Wedding party

The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory

The holiday season is so full of activity that it's nice when the festivities are over. Perhaps it's inevitable after so many parties to crave a more peaceful life. Here are some recent releases that are encouraging a little quiet time – in their titles at least:

Lake silence

Lake Silence by Anne Bishop

Perfect silence

Perfect Silence by Helen Fields

Silent death

A Silent Death by Peter May (to be published in March, 2020)

Silent knit

Silent Knit, Deadly Knit by Peggy Ehrhart

The silent patient

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Silent treatment

The Silent Treatment by Abbie Greaves (to be published in April 2020)

Wishing you all the best reading in 2020!
