2019 Scotiabank Giller Prize Longlist Announced
On September 3, 2019 St John's, Newfoundland hosted one of Canadian literature's biggest annual events as the Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist was unveiled. Twelve authors are in contention for the $100,000 prize.
The award celebrates the best in Canadian fiction. Novels and short story collections are eligible for the prize.

The shortlist will be announced on September 30, 2019 and the winner will be announced at a gala held in Toronto on November 18, 2019.
