The Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize is the most lucrative prize for nonfiction books in Canada. Each of the finalists is awarded $5,000 and the winning author receives $60,000.

Nominee James Maskalyk, whose book Life on the Ground Floor is also nominated for a Toronto Book Award, will be at S. Walter Stewart branch on October 3, along with the other Toronto Book Award nominees, and at Toronto Reference Library on October 12, when the Award winner is announced.
Nominee Tanya Talaga will appear as part of TPL's #Resistance 150 Series on October 26 at Toronto Reference Library.
And nominee Kyo Maclear will be at Palmerston as part of the library's eh List series on November 28.
The winner of the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize will be announced on November 14.
