2017 Toronto Book Award Nominees
The Toronto Book Awards were established in 1974 to honour books that reflect and celebrate the city. Although both fiction and nonfiction books are considered, the 2017 shortlist is dominated by nonfiction. The only work of fiction nominated is a novel, Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez.

The winner will be announced on October 12 at an awards ceremony in the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at Toronto Reference Library. Free tickets will be available beginning at 9 a.m. on September 21.
