THE PLAY :
Harry Sullivan hasn’t seen his son Drew in thirteen years, and now Drew is coming to Harry’s Saskatchewan ranch for a visit. This poignant comedy tells the story of two men who are too stubborn to give in to feelings of the heart. Virginia, the woman next door with her own issues, plays a major role in helping them reconcile. Flashbacks to Harry’s youth, middle age and to Drew’s teens give us insights into the lives of these characters.

CHARACTERS:

Harry:
a retired farmer, played at age 59 and at age 46

Drew: a golf pro, played at age 29 and at age 15; plus playing young Harry at age 14

Virginia (Gin): a farmer's widow, age 50 (the actress in this role will also play Drew's mother and Harry's mother in different time periods)

(All roles are open to any ethnicity and the ages listed reflect how the character should appear on stage, not the characters actual age)
