The Black Creek Living History Project, as readers of this blog will know, was a local history project put together by York Woods Library staff, and a dedicated cadre of community volunteers.

We are pleased to announce that the project itself is the subject of a Webinar being put on by the organization Canada's History on Thursday June 14th, 2012. This interactive online workshop will take you through the ins and outs of York Woods Library's local history initiative.

Everyone is welcomed to participate in this free event. So if local history is your passion, mark the date down on your calaendar.

Along with publishing a magazine, giving out history awards, and other noble pursuits, Canada's History is an organization, which helps projects, teachers, volunteers, and the general public "tap the rich vein of Canadian history resources country-wide."

For a list of past and upcoming webinars put on by Canada's History, please check out the descriptions on their website.
