Unsure about how copyright rules apply to Internet images? Try using the Toronto Public Library's databases instead.
Literati by Credo (Credo Reference) provides over 200 000 images without "digital rights management restrictions." Think of this database as a room full of hundreds of encyclopedias and reference books on all different topics. Read full-text articles on a topic and then download the images as well as the bibliographic citations directly into your assignment. Creating an account enables you to save your research.
The Image Gallery in McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology (Access Science) contains over 16 000 colour photos which can be used individually or downloaded as a PowerPoint presentation. The multimedia section includes videos and animation of scientific phenomena.
Both of these databases prepackage information so effectively, and provide such comprehensive results, that research has never been easier or faster.
Use your library card to search these databases from home or anywhere. From the library home page select Find Your way to Articles and Online Research. Enter your Library Card number and PIN and scroll down to the database.
