Teen Review: Spider-Man Homecoming Movie
The movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, featuring main character Tom Holland, is an extraordinary film because of the humour, the unpredictable moments, and because of the diversity. Firstly, the humor provides cohesiveness by keeping the movie going when there are no action scenes, keeping the audience hooked. For example, when Peter Parker is sitting in a Thai restaurant with his Aunt May, we can see that the scene is cohesive due to the jokes made by both Peter Parker and his Aunt May. The jokes make the characters lovable and easy to relate to, which makes us connect with the characters in the movie. Secondly, the unpredictable moments have us on the edge of our seats waiting for the next surprise. For example, the scene where we find out that Peter Parker's love interest, Liz, is in fact The Vulture’s daughter creates suspense. The unpredictable moments keep the audience waiting for the next surprise, which means they will be paying more attention to everything to try and predict the next surprise beforehand. Thirdly, the movie is very diverse and connects with the audience. For example, Peter Parker’s best friend, Ned, is a Pacific Islander and Spider-Man’s love interest, Liz, is biracial. This shows different people of different qualities working together which creates a connection with the audience. In conclusion, the humor, the unpredictable moments, and the diversity make Spider-man: Homecoming an extraordinary film.
