Free Science Events in Toronto for August 2018

The Business, Science & Technology Department of North York Central Library compiles a monthly calendar of free science and applied science events in Toronto. Applied science includes health, gardening, pets and food; all subjects found in the department's collection. Here is the August calendar (PDF).

August's highlights include:

  • August 5: Insects and their Habitats, an entomologist will uncover the elusive insect residents of High Park.
  • August 15: ExploreTech Toronto Meetup, ExploreTech Toronto is about exploring and celebrating diversity in the tech industry; hear from a variety of speakers who are working on interesting tech projects.
  • August 23: Humanizing AI for Healthcare, entrepreneurs, clinicians, researchers and thought leaders will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
