We are pleased to announce that Fairview branch has reopened.
While most of the library is open, the theatre and part of the first floor will still be closed for restoration. Library materials and most of the seating and study areas are available. There are stairs and one elevator available to access the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Entry continues to be through the main library entrance on the Fairview Mall Drive side of the building. Most parking areas are available.
In June, the rest of the first floor and the program rooms on the first and fourth floors will reopen and programs including Leading to Reading, and Adult Literacy classes will return to Fairview.
As with all Toronto Public Library branches, Fairview will be closed on Friday, April 18, Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21 for the Easter holiday weekend.
Meeting room and theatre rentals:
Meeting room and theatre rentals are on hold until more information about access to the rest of the building becomes available. Groups with existing bookings during this time are being contacted by Room Booking staff.
Homework Help for Teens will return to Fairview on Tuesdays starting April 22 from 4:30 - 7:30 pm, on the 2nd floor in the Teen Zone.
The Leading to Reading program has been relocated to Pleasant View branch. Program hours during Fairview closure are Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The Adult Literacy program has been relocated to the Don Mills branch. Program hours during the Fairview closure are Mondays and Tuesdays from 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 6 pm.
