The popular MAP Family Saturdays series of family programs returns this fall!
If you haven't had the opportunity to experience what our museum partners have to offer, here's your chance! On Saturdays in October and November, visit your local library for crafts, games, artifacts and activities from Toronto's top attractions. Programs last one hour and suit kids 5-12 and their caregivers.

Join us at Parliament Street* and New Toronto* branches where Black Creek Pioneer Village will show you how to tease, card and spin wool. Take home your own woollen bracelet. |
| Visit Palmerston, Richview* and Bridlewood* branches and learn what it takes to be a knight with Casa Loma's medieval expert Shawn Adams. See a real lance and the
many tools a knight used. |

Work with the Gardiner Museum's talented potters at the Barbara Frum* and Bendale branches to make clay gargoyles. |

Curious about the Inuit? Visit Museum of Inuit Art staff at North York Central Library*, Annette* and Yorkville* branches. Touch museum artifacts, play traditional Inuit games, and make your own piece of Inuit inspired art. |

| Royal Ontario Museum will be at Lillian H. Smith* and Sanderson* branches, where you can examine dinosaur specimens and make a dinosaur craft to take home. |

Weston* and Parkdale branches will host the Textile Museum of Canada, where you can learn about how cloth is made and make your very own colourful bookmark. |

Visit Oakwood Village Library and Arts Centre*, Gerrard/Ashdale* and Forest Hill* branches where Colborne Lodge in High Park (Toronto Historic Museum) will share a tale of real-life high seas adventure, followed by Victorian circle games, toys and riddles. Scarborough Museum (Toronto Historic Museum) presents the Early Settler Experience. Enjoy games, toys and stories as you discover Scarborough's past at Highland Creek*, Woodside Square* and Steeles* branches. Pape/Danforth* and Thorncliffe branches welcome Todmorden Mills Heritage Site (Toronto Historic Museum) who will give a hands-on demonstration on how kids lived and played a hundred years ago in Toronto. Also, create a take home craft. |
| Polar bears, grizzly bears and soon Giant pandas call the Toronto Zoo
their home. Come to Bayview, MacGregor Park and Maryvale* branches and join the Toronto Zoo for a "wild teddy bear picnic" to learn more about what bears eat, where they live, and the
games they play. Don't forget to bring your own wild teddy bear! |
