One winner is chosen at each branch and bookmobile from each of the three age groups:

* up to six years
* Seven to nine years
* Ten to 13 years old.

 From the winning entries, 16 bookmarks are chosen for publication. There are four Elizabeth Cleaver Winners and 12 Grand Award Winners.

At a special award celebration in the spring, winners receive a book prize and 100 copies of their bookmark. The bookmarks are then available in all the branches.

This contest has been going for over 30 years, starting at the former North York Public Library system! It is one of our most popular programs with thousands of children participating every year.

Entries have to be submitted by 5:00 pm on Jan 20, 2018, so be sure to bring your children to the library by that date!
Past winners can be seen on KidsSpace.
