Have you ever wanted to work for the City of Toronto? Your opportunity is here! City divisional representatives will be available at the annual City of Toronto Career Information Event at Toronto Reference Library, Thursday, October 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
While at the Toronto Reference Library, don't forget to visit the Business, Science & Technology Department on the third floor to check out our Career Collection. All books with a green dot on their spine can be taken home for 3 weeks. The Career Collection consists of books on:
- writing a cover letter
- writing a resume
- preparing for an interview
- marketing yourself to employers
- how to find the right employer for you
- how to find a job
- using your education and training to get a job
- how to upgrade your skills
- how to find success at your new job
- and so much more!
Join us to explore the range of careers, learn about the hiring process and ask your employment-related questions. Information sessions about how to apply for City jobs will take place throughout the day. The following 42 City of Toronto departments will have representatives at the event:
