For this year's Innovator in Residence program, we are happy to welcome back three of our previous Innovators: Derek Quenneville (Game Design and 3D printing), Elli Raynai (Virtual Reality Filmmaking) and Yifat Shaik (3D and game design). They join us to celebrate the new Digital Innovation Hub locations which opened this summer at Agincourt, Albion and Downsview.

At Downsview, Derek Quenneville will teach a series of workshops on Storytelling and Game Design using web based educational tool, Scratch, and 3D sculpting software Meshmixer. Elli Raynai will introduce and demonstrate concepts of VR (Virtual Reality) and VR filmmaking at Albion. Finally, at Agincourt, Yifat Shaik and workshop participants will join forces to explore fundamentals of 3D design and modelling, learning about related 3D design software along the way.

Check out the complete schedule of Innovator in Residence programs. Please note, registration is required.

The Innovator in Residence program offers a fun and hands-on way to learn about the technology offered at the library's Digital Innovation Hubs. Past residencies have included mobile app development, 3D printing, film-making, audio production, Arduino, 3D design and robotics.
