Yesterday morning the Toronto Reference Library held the first of many classes introducing the public on the benefits of Open Source Software. We went through some of the advantages to Open Source, including the security, Cost and the collaboration that comes along with it.
Not all software that is free is under the Open Source
umbrella. There are very subtle differences
between share-ware, free-ware and Open Source.
