Once again, a good number of the upcoming films this year are based on books. If you like to read a book before watching the film it's based on, here are a few books to add to your 'To Read' list. Place your holds now!

Stanton tells the dramatic story of a small band of U.S. Special Forces soldiers who secretly enter Afghanistan following 9/11 and fight the Taliban on horseback. They capture the city of Mazar-i-Sharif and are welcomed by Afghans as liberators. Then the situation changes. The film "12 Strong", starring Chris Hemsworth,  is in theatres now.

  Annihilation

Annihilation is the first book of VanderMeer's Southern Reach Trilogy. Area X has been cut off from the rest of the continent for decades. Previously, there have been eleven secret missions to explore Area X. All but the first  have ended tragically.
