Culture Days @ the Library
Join Toronto Public Library and Culture Days 2012 for over 30 free programs across the city at 43 branches.
Guitar Kids will be featured at two free programs both happening Saturday September 29 2012, at Sanderson Library from 10-11 a.m. and also at Northern District Library from 2-4 pm.
This is a great activity for parents who are considering lessons for their children and would like to expose them to guitar, guitar music and the idea of taking lessons. Music teacher and professional musician Paul Donat welcomes parents and anyone with an interest in guitar to attend these activities. Anyone interested in learning guitar can bring their guitar for a mini lesson. There will also be one or two extra guitars on hand to try for anyone who doesn't have one. There will be a short concert at Northern District Library from student guitarists.
Did you know that the Library has guitar scores / sheet music including rock, acoustic, classical and blues/jazz? The largest collection is found at the Arts Department, 5th floor, Toronto Reference Library. You can search the catalogue, place scores on hold and have them sent to your local branch as well.
Or for lovers of classical guitar :
