Have you ever gotten "lost" using ZoomText?
It's very easy to lose your bearings when using the program the first few times, especially when using high magnification. I know, because when I started learning ZoomText I certainly experienced that problem.
Then I came across a couple of very useful "ZoomText Tips and Tricks" videos on the AI Squared website.
The first is called "Using View Mode and the View Locator"
Both the View Mode and the View Locator can be used to help you know where you are in terms of the entire screen when you are in high magnification. Watch the video to see how it works:
The second is titled Using The Freeze Window To Keep Important Information Always In View.
The freeze window in ZoomText allows you to keep a part of the screen in view no matter where else you may be moving around using magnification.
For instance, suppose you're like me and you regularly glance at the clock and date that are on the bottom right side of the screen. Since ZoomText magnifies the entire screen, when I move around using magnification, I almost always lose sight of that little corner.
Using the freeze window, I can box in that small section, select it, and it will remain on whatever spot I choose on the screen no matter where else I may be navigating.
Have a look at these two videos - they are sure to help you.
